
Austin Bickford (6 or 7 years old) was treated for Neuroblastoma a couple of years ago. It now appears he may have leukemia. Treatment is complicated because of prior treatment. 7/14/08
Gale Clark will have open heart surgery June 23 to replace his aortic valve. Surgery will be difficult because the valve was damaged by radiation used to treat a malignant chest tumor in 1961. 6/21/08 Update: Surgery went well but since then Gale has had a setback. He is in Vanderbilt ICU. 6/26/08 Update: Gale and Ellen are both on the same floor at Vanderbilt. Gale is slowly making progress, Ellen got a good report in that all the tumor was removed. 7/5/08 Update: Gale went to meet our Lord and Savior this afternoon, Sunday, July 20. No word yet on funeral arrangements. 7/20/08
Ellen Dickenson was taken to Vanderbilt emergency. Doctors discovered a brain tumor. A dear family friend of Jeff Cox, is dealing with possible kidney failure and is close to dialysis. Also, a young lady at his church had a horse fall on top of her and is in a ninduced coma to repair severed arteries in her leg. In addition, Jeff's seisures have stopped and is now able to drive to work. 7/7/08
Donna Nolen has an acute sinus and ear infection and is running a fever. Doctor thinks her thyoid is out of whack. 7/5/08
Gary, Cynthia's son, planned to marry Christina August 16. However, he got orders to report for duty in Iraq August 3. They now have decisions to make about their wedding. This is probably Gary's fourth tour in Iraq. Cynthia is a very good friend of Par Gannis. 7/1/08
Vanessa Happel (Walk 149?) underwent surgery at St. Thomsa Hospital on June 25 for bleeding in her brain. Cause is tumor and doctors feel they have removed all of it. Husband is Mike and daughters are Stephanie (13) and Maddie (7). 6/26/08
Pastor Vinod John of India, attended Walk 155 and working on his dorctorate at Asbury College in Kentucky, asks for prayers that his family can join him in the US and for his ministry focusing on the downtrodden people of India. 6/24/08
Don Pontius, Deb Fields father, was admitted as a COPD patient to Harton Regional Hospital in Tullahome. 6/21/08
Tony Postilone, Tracy King's stepdad, is having hand tremors and preliminary bllod tests indicate that it is probably Parklinson's. Tracy's mother, Kay, also has serious health issues. 6/18/08
Mary Helen Averitt, wife for 47 years of Ross Averitt, passed away on Saturday, June 8 after a courageous fight with cancer. 6/11/08
Mary Ledbetter's cancer has spread to her right leg. She now has a wheel chair to get around. It is ver difficult for her in and out of the car. She's taking heavy medication for the pain. Mary is sister of Kim Teston, Walk 148. 6/7/08
Hugh Sutherland's cancer is spreading. Doctor feels there is no cure and does not recommend aggressive treatment. They also found gall stones which could be very bad if they get worse. He is Kim Teston's father and will be 81 in August. 6/7/08
Ed King, friend of Kathy Prince, is having tests for possible lung tumor on 6/2/08. His daughter Tammy (age 35) will have her tonsils out on Friday because of a possible cancerous growth. 6/2/08
Kathy Prince has been threatened with an assault charge (the charges are false) . Need prayers for Kathy, kids in her class, and parents involved. 6/2/08
