Kairos Mission:
To bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them and to assist the incarcerated in the transition to becoming a productive citizen.
Middle TN Activities:
Currently there is a small group of men conducting monthly reunions inside of Riverbend Maximum Security Institution for several residents that have attended a Kairos weekend at another institution and for those others that are interested. To become successful, however, we need more volunteers that have a heart for prison ministry to join with us.
At the present time, we have not held a weekend at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution (RMSI), but hope to do so in the relatively near future. Since RMSI is a men’s facility, only men are allowed to work under the Kairos “banner” on the inside. However, ladies are welcome at our monthly council meetings and will be needed on the “outside” once we begin to conduct weekend events.
