Step-by-step instructions for raising funds online for your CROP Hunger Walk.

Be an "E-Walker"

If you have e-mail, you’ve got a whole new way to raise funds for your CROP Hunger Walk by using our online donation tools. With our newly designed website, it’s easier than ever!

Thanks to the wonders of the worldwide web, every Walker can:

  • Can create a personalized web page to accept donations and invite friends to join your Walk.
  •     (You will be asked to create a username and a password.  Team leaders and team members will need the username and password to reenter their team leader Participant page) 
  • You can send E-mail requests for donations to friends and family anywhere.  You can write your own request or use suggestions from the Participant Center page.  . 
  • Your team can receive credit card contributions for their CROP Hunger Walk at the Church World Service secure site.
  •  
  • Use the web to raise funds to combat hunger and poverty at home and around the world.
     

Walk on the Web: Step-by-Step

  1. Follow the simple step-by-step instructions to register as an individual, a member of a team, or to create a team.
  2. You may tailor your personal web page with photos, quotes, and your fund raising goal. (Remember to save your username and password)
  3. E-mail family and friends with a personal note encouraging them to contribute.
  4. When you return to your Participant Page, remember that you must login by clicking on the "login" button on the top right of the page and entering your username and password.  This process keeps your Participant Page secure. 
  5. Widgets are available to help raise funds from your blog or social networking sites, too!  (If you don't know what a widget is, don't worry, this is only for those who frequently use social network sites.)

Your Online Participant Center

Once you are registered, your secure online Participant Center offers a variety of tools for promoting your Walk and keeping track of donations you receive, including:

Your CROP Walk web page, which you can personalize with photos and information about why you are involved in the Walk.

An "Participant Center" where you can send a sample request letter or compose your own. Those who choose to support you will be directed to your personal web page to make their pledge.

• The ability to import e-mail addresses from your e-mail program on your computer or web-based e-mail program (such as Yahoo! or Gmail).  You can enter e-mail address manually. 

Automatic e-mail alerts when someone has sponsored you, giving you a chance to thank them!

Reports on donations to date.

When you return to your "Participant Center," remember to "login" (top right button) using your username and password.
