MEN'S ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
You are invited to join the United Methodist
Churches in the area for a day of fellowship, golf, and meeting other
Methodist Men, sponsored by Christ United Methodist Church.
The golf outing will be held on Thursday, August 13th.
Golf will be at Weatherwax Golf Course in Middletown. Plans right now
call for a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. SHARP. I will need confirmation
about your group by July 31st, and I will need the names of each player
in your group(s) no later than August 9, 2009.
It has been suggested, and adopted, that each group
donate $20.00 ($5.00 each) towards the trophies and prizes that will
add a little excitement to the outing. You can either send a check
before the outing to me (Mike Matusak, 316 Arcadia Dr., Middletown,
Ohio 45042) or pay me the day you arrive.
Before you arrive at the golf course, have one person
designated as the Captain of your group
to pay for your whole team. If you have 2 or more teams have either one
person pay for your whole group or have one person from each 4-some pay
for their team. This is to prevent 130+ players trying to pay at one
time. Have the designated person(s) pay upon arrival at the course. The
golf course will have your church name and individual player's names.
Per the golf course, carts must be used. You will need to pay for your
golf and sign in at the Pro Shop before 7:30 a.m. in order to start at
8:00 a.m. - No Exceptions. The cost will be $31.00 (senior
rate) and please try to have the exact amount of money. The $31.00
includes green fees, cart, box lunch and a soft drink.
After you finish your round, it would be
nice to stay around to meet an talk with others from the different
churches. As said before, there will be lunch, trophies and prizes
given out after all have finished.
This year the Weatherwax Pro will handicap 3 holes, thus
your total score will change. This will give every team an equal chance
for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place or even be the championship team.
If you have any questions, please call me at home
