The purpose of MUMC YF is to help all youth to grow in their Christian faith through study, worship, service project and fellowship. The primary goal of MUMC YF is to help youth grades 6 through 12 begin to develop a personal faith identity in Jesus Christ and to live out that faith in the life of the church, their homes, neighborhoods and schools.

Our goal is to provide an environment where youth can come and bring friends and not be ashamed to have a good time and hear about how God can make a difference in their lives.

 We provide an excellent place for a youth to have a chance to build a positive peer group. Our activities include mission service trips, retreats, movie outings, skating parties, playing putt-putt, visiting museums. Always fun are the church lock-ins. . .we dare you to stay up all night! Lots of pizza and games.

Job Descriptions for MUMC Youth Fellowship Leaders:

All elected officers are expected to attend every MUMC YF meeting and to attempt to attend all activities.

 President
·        Preside at MUMC YF meetings
·        Communicates with other MUMC Committees as needed
·        Spokesperson for MUMC YF
·        Works Closely with MUMC YF Adult Leaders
·        Relates to district youth presidents and representatives

Vice President
·        Helps with presidential duties
·        Leads in the special events, activities, and fund raising
·        First substitute for president or representative at conference, jurisdictional or general events

Secretary
·        Take minutes at all meetings of MUMC YF meetings
·        Type and turn in minutes to the MUMC YF Adult Leaders
·        Maintains MUMC YF calendar
·         Assists with event calendaring and scheduling
