David Blackman, Pastor of the Currituck County Charge

Rev. David J. Blackman and his wife Jackie are very church and community minded and enjoy rural life. They grew up in upstate New York and were involved in Methodist Youth Fellowship programs. They have a passion and vision for teamwork, believe in Bible studies, and strongly support children's programs. They have two young sons, Jacob and Joshua.

Pastor David spends much time preparing sermons and works tirelessly to serve Mt. Zion UMC and Hebron UMC of the Currituck United Methodist Church Charge. Pastor David and Jackie admire the teachings of John Wesley, strongly believe in character, and want to serve as role models to the community. They are down to earth folks and enjoy the simple life. They can't wait to meet YOU!

Administrative Council

The Administrative Council plans and implements programs of nurture, outreach, witness, and resources (lay and clergy leadership development) in the local church. It also provides for the administration of its organization. It shall envision, plan, implement, and annually evaluate the mission and ministry of the church.
