So glad you dropped by! Visitors are warmly
welcomed at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. You may enter by the front
or if parking in the back lot enter by the fellowship hall doors. Worship begins on
Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM. Dress is casual and our usher-greeters can
help you with seating. Our minister,
Pastor
David Blackman, and others will greet you during our traditional
Passing of the Peace - when a friendly handshake and the "Peace of
Christ" greeting is extended to all.
You will experience Biblically based sermons, a variety of
music, friendly folks, plus we hope you
recognize the special presence of the Holy Spirit. Pastor David or a
volunteer shares a Children's Message each Sunday. A staffed
Nursery is
provided for infants to preschoolers.
We recognize the two sacraments in which Christ himself participated:
Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is a special occasion and follows
a traditional time of preparation. The Lord's Supper, also called
Communion or the Eucharist is shared the first Sunday of each month and
on special Holy Days. All are welcome to the Lord's table.
Our 10:00 AM
Sunday Schools
provide time to question and seek more in
depth answers about the Bible and issues that face Christians today.
Classes for all ages are held in the back section of the building. Mt.
Zion is a
Safe Sanctuaries
facility to help insure a safe, healthy
environment for children, families, and volunteers.
We are involved in missions throughout the calendar year and offer
many hands-on opportunities to serve those in need. Volunteers are
always welcomed! Please visit our
Mission
page for more information and check our
church calendar for planned events
including evening Bible Studies. Mt. Zion also encourages and
invites you to join our E-mail Prayer Chain ministry or our telephone
prayer ministry.
