Alpha-Omega over Main Entrance Windows above Sanctuary Entrance

Christ is the Jewel in windows so fair,
That let in the glowing light;
Through rich-stained glass of colors so rare,
They shine with a glory bright.

The bright medallion-like windows glow,
Wherever pure light begins;
Slanting Greek crosses seem to echo
Good News, wafted by four winds. Crosses small reflect a golden ray,
Renascent beauty shining;
Holy symbols, beckoning, say:
'Christ's cross and ours combining'.

The Madonna Lily, pure and white,
With the Sharon Rose near by:
Fulfills the prophecy, brings to light
The Messiah's birth is nigh.

(Song of Solomon 2:1) Nativity
In colors deep with radiant light,
View we now the Holy Babe;
Oh! how endearing, fair the sight,
To see Him in a manger laid!

Mary's near with lovely face, serene,
Beams from Joseph's lantern herald
Prophetic words sounding o'er life's scene:
'I am the Light of the World'.

(Luke 2:16,John 8:12,John 9:5)

Youth of Jesus
Majestic the light that crowns His Head,
As in the Temple He stands;
Discussing all the Prophets had said,
And all that the Law commands.

Amazed were the Temple leaders smart,
At the wisdom of this Youth;
For lying deep in His boyish heart,
Was God's Call: 'Give All for Truth'.

(Luke 2:42-47) Marriage In Cana
Here we find the Miracle of Love,
In Bride and Groom, young and fair;
Christ bestowing blessing from Above,
On family beginning there.

Water-pots of stone are sitting near,
They are filled, at Christ's request;
His first Miracle performed He here,
Pleasing Host, and every Guest.

(John 2:1-11)

The Living Bread
The light falls gently on Jesus' face,
As He holds a tray of bread;
From the waving wheat near-by, we trace
How all in this world are fed.

But 'man shall not live by bread alone',
This our Saviour once had said;
And so He speaks kindly to His own:
'Friends, I am The Living Bread'.

(John 6:51) Here, 'A Mighty Fortress Is Our God',
Wrote Luther long years ago;
With courage and song, through life we trod,
This strong symbol tells us so.

Our God is Eternal, true;

And the Lamp of Learning glows;
Bidding Clergy study Holy Writ,
Preaching Truth where'er he goes.

(2nd Timothy 2:15) The Dying Pelican droops her head,
She found no food, below, above;
Baring her breast, her young now are fed --
Supreme sacrifice for love.

Cross & Triangle The Unseen Windows
Windows of beauty we do not see,
As the travelling sun moves west;
Giving glass no touch of brilliancy,
Nor deep meaning, like the rest.

The One: Triangle of Trinity --
Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
The Other: Cross of Infinity --
Gift of love without merit.

(1st Corinthians 13:12)/TD> The Good Shepherd
Jesus said: 'I am the Good Shepherd,
I know the sheep of my fold';
His followers all with gladness heard
The abiding Truths He told.

'I am the Good Shepherd of Tender Youth,
Follow, follow, in My Way;
Seek noble living, saving Truth,
Follow on to endless day'.

(John 10:14)

Jesus Blessing the Children
'Forbid not the children to draw near',
Was Jesus' kindly request;
His gentle touch dispelled any fear,
With joy the children were blest.

Innocense, so beautiful to see,
Bid Jesus speak words of love;
Only with such goodness can we be
Fit for God's Kingdom Above.

(Matthew 19:13-15) Holy Communion
T'was even-tide in the Upper Room,
Christ ate with His chosen few;
The Passover meal was fraught with gloom --
One in their midst was untrue.

Christ said with deep sorrow in His heart:
'Partake, and remember Me.'
Of Holy Sacrament, be a part,
Through Time and Eternity.

(Mark 14:10-26)

Christ is Risen
To the tomb, Mary Magdalene came,
Before the night had ended;
Jesus appeared to her, called her name,
Said: 'Touch Me not, I've not ascended.'

'Go tell my brethren what you have heard,
And the things that you did see';
She went and told them what had occurred --
'Christ Is Risen --- Victory!'

(John 20:11-18) The ripe Pomegranate with bursting seeds,
Symbol of life that is new;
The lasting worth of our noble deeds:
God's blessings on what we do.

(Song of Solomon 7:12)

Light moves o'er design of red and green,
Calling to mind Nature's art;
Rose petals and soft green moss -- a scene --
God's beauty touches our heart.

(Psalm 104:24) A ruby crown on a sturdy shield,
Beauteous symbol to see;
May we to the excellent e'er yield,
And be strong, Christ-like, and free.

were given by friends, some in memory of loved ones,
and others as a contribution to the improvement of the Sanctuary.
