PURPOSE
| The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. |
MISSION STATEMENT

The Mt. Olivet UMW is an active group of women from our church who seek out and support local and foreign missions.
The revenue from our Bazaar in November is used entirely for these missions as well as the money received from all
fundraisings we pursue. We attend local, district and Conference meetings throughout the year. The fellowships we enjoy, with our fellow sisters in Christ, is inspirational and brings us closer together in our worship as well as our mission work. We always encourage all women of the church to attend our quarterly meetings. We meet in January, April, July and October on the last Monday night in these months in Memorial Hall at Mt. Olivet at 7:00 PM. Please plan to join us! |
ACTIVITIES
| Our Unit of UMW annually sends money to help support: CVAN, Community Free Clinic, CCM, Meals on Wheels, Life Center, Hospice, Habitat for Humanity. We support an ARI student in Kenya, Samaritan's Table, and a mission in Armenia. We also provide meals for families when members of our church pass away. As you can tell, we are a working group of women! We urge and welcome any woman in our church to come and join us. |

Our annual bazaar is held on the second Saturday in November and benefits local and national mission projects.
