Our Relationship to God

This is something that all of us should know.

God Loves Us

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should NOT perish, but have everlasting life....

We are all Sinners (Wrong-Doers)

Romans 3:23 - All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
There is none righteous....

God's Remedy for Us (Sin)

Romans 6:23 reminds us For the wages of sin [is] death but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We can be saved now. Romans with Revelations 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him...
And finally, I can have that assurance...

Assurance

I love I John 5:13: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
That's exciting!

Our Responsibility to God

Our Own Spiritual Journey and Spiritual Growth

We need to be able to demonstrate (testify) that we have been saved (as mentioned above). We need to be able to demonstrate to the world that we are changed and growing spiritually, because we have been saved.

Growing through Prayer

One aspect of growing is learning to pray for ourselves and for others (friends and foes alike). We practice prayer in our daily lives.

Growing through Reading God's Word

Another aspect of growing is taking time every day to read God's word (the Bible) to understand what it means.
