Welcome, in the name of Jesus Christ!
Here at Mount Vernon, we bring our mission alive every Sunday in our music-filled worship, with a liturgy that is fresh and contemporary yet dignified in its practice.
Through “Godly Play,” our children experience the stories of scripture in ways that stimulate all of their five senses and bring them closer to the Spirit of Christ, which is ever present and moving among us.
With five adult Sunday school classes, we look deeper into Holy Scripture and deeper into the theologies of our day to help us in basic knowledge of the Christian faith, and to equip us for living a Christ-filled life.
Three handbell choirs and two vocal choirs as well as music groups for children and youth give everyone a chance to express their faith through music.
In our youth group, young people learn about Christ and how to put their faith into action through mission projects and in retreat settings.
You are invited to share your faith journey with us. For 127 years, Mount Vernon has sought to bring Christ’s kingdom of love, peace, forgiveness, and justice to a reality for our members and for our community.
Come and take a life-long walk with us into God’s world.
