Missionary Dinner
Thursday, July 24th - 6:00PM
Coming up on Thursday evening, July 24, is an opportunity to meet the two missionaries at Africa University in Zimbabwe whom our church has supported in a covenant relationship for the past three years. The missionaries are Larry and Jane Kies and they have traveled from their post in Africa to visit the churches that have supported them, including ours!
It's a potluck. We will gather at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a dish to share, as well as your family and friends who would enjoy seeing pictures and a short presentation about the church's mission work at Africa University. Our themes will be Be-Attitudes to Be Obedient, Be Kind, & Believe.  Mark your calendar, invite your friends and plan to attend. You may call the church office to register now.  Postcards will be coming in the mail too.  It will be a great Beach Party!

VOLUNTEERS ARE INVITED TO THE BEACH PARTY!!!
Youth and adults are greatly welcomed to join us and be a volunteer. Assistance will be needed in preparing daily snacks, organizing daily games, helping with crafts, playing a guitar during singing time, or being a group leader. It is a great time to help out our children learn more about our Christian life in a fun setting. If you are interested to volunteer 1, 2, or all 3 mornings, please contact Deb White, deblwhite@comcast.net or let us know on your "I AM HERE CARD". I'd like to get schedules together soon so that I know where I need to recruit more help.  It's a lot of fun! 

Second Sunday Discussion

Second Sunday Discussions is a study and discussion group that looks at faith perspective on issues of our day.

August 10  is our next session and we decided to discuss faith perspectives on race and religion in the Fall election. There will be a couple good short articles from Christian Century Magazine in our Second Sunday folder in the Welcome Center.  It was also suggested that each person save one 'good news' story from the newspaper this month!
