Can You See?

"I came to Mountain Top Emmaus not knowing what to expect.", she said in a quivering voice with tears welling up. "I saw Jesus!"

"I came to this Walk to stop my wife's nagging.", he confessed. "I have walked with my Lord!"

Certainly one of the more frequent prayers for the participants in a Mountain Top Walk to Emmaus® is that they will encounter Jesus Christ in a new and life changing way. There are hundreds of personal witnesses that this prayer is often answered. Is this a miracle? Yes, I believe so.

What has happened?

I believe the Holy Spirit has opened the spiritual eye to help the individual see Jesus.

A woman saw Jesus in a person at her table who had been a stranger two days earlier; who she now called her sister.

A man experienced Jesus in a much needed back rub.

A lady felt the forgiving touch of Jesus during a communion service.

A man saw the face of Jesus glowing in the faces of friends who had travelled hundreds of miles to just see him.

A woman's wall of resistance crumbled when she experienced Jesus in a meal she knew kitchen Christians had specially made to meet her particular dietary needs.

A man could see Jesus in the feeble handwriting of his dying father.

A person felt the presence of Jesus after learning that his wife had been praying for him as he slept.

A lady experienced the love of Christ in a small gift a stranger handmade just for her.

A man heard the voice of Jesus in a song.

The love of Christ was experienced by a man through a letter he read sent from the other side of the world.

The question is not where but, rather, how does someone look for Jesus? Those who look with their physical eyes will only see physical things. The glimpses of Jesus are discerned by spiritual eyes!

Look at the picture below. Scary, huh?

What Do U See?
Now try this.
Look lovingly into the heart of this "face".
Focus on the row of 4 "dots" in the middle at least 30 seconds.
Close your eyes about 1 minute and tilt your head back.
See the circle of light?
Focus into the center of that circle.
What do you see?

"Open our eyes, Lord...we want to see..."
