Clay County Recreation Park Pavilion ~ 4:00PM until "?" ~ June 7, 2008!
Come early and spend a day "at the beach" on beautiful Lake Chatuge with family and friends.
This is "pot luck" so please bring a big dish to share with everyone.

There will be a Chrysalis Training session held June 21st at Grace
Fellowship in Andrews. This will be held by Greg Engroff from the
Upper Room. Anyone interested may attend.

We will be having a Upper Room Training session for Mountain Top on
Aug 9th at Memorial United Methodist Church in Franklin, NC. Fran
Henderson will be conducting this training.

Chairman's Comments
Dear Emmaus Community,
I would like to begin the New Year by saying Thank You for giving me the opportunity to serve as your chairman for Mtn Top Emmaus. I am honored and will do my best to serve you in any way I can. I have been so blessed to serve our Lord through Mtn Top Emmaus. As this is a new area of service for me I desire your prayers and support. When I came to Emmaus as a pilgrim I was one of those men who needed it the most. I thank God for men and women like you who willingly lay their lives down at the foot of the cross in order to be the reflection of Jesus to others.
I think we would all agree that lives are forever changed through Emmaus "Mine was." That's why we come back. "To give him praise and to be instruments of his grace to others." Proverbs 11:25 says " A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." Isn't God amazing! We come to the Mtn Top to bless others and we leave feeling like the one who has been blessed the most. I can't wait to come back! Thank You for your prayers, for giving of your finances to sponsor pilgrims, for giving of your time and yourselves for his service.
As I reflect back on 2007 I realize that our community has experienced much. Some sickness,some death of loved ones, some trials, and some hardships and pain that has really challenged our faith, but God has been faithful and prayers have been answered. I am reminded that its not how we start the race but how we finish it. As we enter into 2008 and its up coming walks I pray we keep focused on our goal, to help people experience the Love of God in a way that is real and personal and to help them become all that God would desire them to be.
I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you this Spring on the Mtn Top and I look forward to God's fulfillment of his word in Isaiah 43:19,20 " See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not percieve it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the waste land." May God Bless each and everyone of you. Happy New Year!
