United Methodist Women
The Montmorenci United Methodist Women is an active group of women whose purpose is to know God, to provide fellowship and care for each other and to be involved in missions. There are three groups of women who meet at different times each month. Four times each year all of the groups meet together at the church as a unit. Each group is involved in its own special missions as well as the missions of the entire unit. All women are invited to be a part of this group of women.
The Epworth Circle meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in a member’s home or at the church.
The Mary Martha Circle meets the first Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in a member’s home or at the church.
The Susanna Wesley Circle meets the first Wednesday of the month in the Mallonee Adventurer’s Class at 7:00 p.m.
The UMW also participates in a district reading program. Resources can be found in the UMW library next to the Prayer Chapel. The program is designed to expand understanding and participation in service, increase sensitivity to the needs of human beings, and promote critical thinking. It helps women to grow in their understanding of scripture, enhance their self-knowledge, and strengthen involvement in local and global missions.
