Education Programs
Adult Sunday School Classes
Attendance is recorded each Sunday. Adult classes are responsible for checking children and youth classes at least twice in compliance with Safe Sanctuaries procedures.Gudger Cabe - The Gudger Cabe class meets in the classroom located outside the sanctuary. Teachers are Mary Walker, Lew Israel, and Glenn Leatherwood. Currently they are studying the Gospels, and the Bible as taught by Dr. Mickey Efird. They welcome anyone into their class, although they are known for being the oldest generation in the church.
Mallonee Adventurers - The Mallonee Adventurers class meets in the basement level of the church by the Old Fellowship Hall. Class members take turns teaching, they are currently studying "What Does the Lord Require" #13. They are a multi-age class, open to anyone. Class President is David Smathers, Vice-President is Steve Luther, Secretary and Treasurer is Mabel Bullard.
Genesis - The Genesis class meets in the middle classroom on the top floor. The class is an intimate group that typically does book studies of Christian contemporary authors. This is a growing group of fun and "really nice" young(er) to middle aged adults. In April and May they will be participating in the study of Basic United Methodist Beliefs.
