Church School and Vacation Bible School

Sunday School

Sunday School is held during the church service - children stay in church for announcements, first hymn, special prayers, and then adjourn for Sunday School from about 10:00 until 10:45. The children study Bible stories in the old and new testament. Our adult and teen teachers stress living by the basic lessons that Jesus taught about goodness, kindness, and love.

Children range in age from 2 to 12.

Sunday school is taught by a rotation of parents with the older youth acting as assistants.

Adult Sunday School is held after the church service.

Special Events

Twice a year, at Christmas and in the spring, the children stage a special production for the congregation. Spring productions have included "The Story of Creation," "Noah and the Great Flood," and "David and Goliath." Our Christmas programs have ranged from simple nativity plays to Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" and "Charlie Brown Christmas."

We hold an Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Brunch for the children the day before Easter each year. Weather permitting, the hunt is held outside and goodies are provided inside. We are usually visited by the Easter Bunny himself!

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, we sponsor a Vacation Bible School (VBS).  Children from ages 3 to 12 are welcome. With a lively mix of Bible study, crafts, recreation, music, and snake time, VBS is an exciting time for leaders and students alike.
