Church CouncilMonkton Church's Church Council provides for the planning and implementing of the main committees and temporal life of the Church. The council meets at least quarterly. It is the "weaver" of all monetary, functional, and ministry ideas and is attended by both active, articulate committee heads and interested members of the church. |

TrusteesThe board of trustees consists of nine members including a chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary and treasurer. It is the duty of the trustees to care for the buildings, grounds, and cemetery. The trustees are involved in furnishing and sustaining facilities which draw attention to and support the mission of the church. The trustees are continually looking for ways to maintain, improve, and beautify the physical condition and appearance of the buildings and grounds. They attend to related legal and insurance matters as well. Officials of the trustees report on a regular basis to the Church Council. Within the trustees, the Committee on Investment and Finance manages the trustees' investments and assures adequate funds for operating expenses. The trustees' work is essential to the life and ongoing ministry of the church and enhances the relationship between the church and the community. |
