Our Pastor
Rev. Anne H. Utterback
has been the Pastor of our church for four years. She is an involved
presence in the lives of our congregation. She knows everyone's name (over
400!) Pastor Anne has worked hard to gain the professional experience and
knowledge to lead our congregation. Since she arrived we have doubled in
size and ministry. She graduated from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Christian Education. She also has a Masters in Religious Studies from Mundelein College and is a clinically certified and state licensed Adlerian Counselor. She is a fully ordained Elder of the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Anne enjoys taking risks and sharing in the daily lives of the congregation members. Strong evidence of her involvement is seen through her many volunteer positions in the Community. She is Chaplain of the Mokena Fire Department, and Spiritual Director for the FISH and St. Joe the Worker programs. All dedicated to helping disadvantaged people in times of need.
We are very pleased to have a Pastor that is open to change and knows how to keep the needs of the people in the congregation first. She navigates the tension between tradition and current technology to create worship experiences that touch all ages. We never sleep during the service as she helps to facilitate God's presence in our midst by creating real and profound moments of revelation. At times we feel God's presence and love in a tangible way.
