 Evangelism

The mission of each United Methodist Church, according to the Book of  Discipline, is to "make disciples of Jesus Christ."  The primary task of the church in fulfillment of that mission is:

•   to reach out to people wherever they are,
•   to receive them as they are,
•   to relate them to God through Jesus Christ,
•   to nurture and equip them for Christian discipleship, and
•   to send them out into the community to be the church in the 
    family, the neighborhood, the community, and also the world.

The Evangelism Committee seeks to achieve this by using "small steps" to evangelize our congregation, demonstrating that it's easy to be an angel, a messenger of God... drawing people to the joy and community of faith we all feel so passionately at MUMC.
