APRIL BIRTHDAYS
All members born in April don’t forget paying the
number of dollars according to your age. All members over 50 pay only
$50.00 or whatever you can afford. Make sure you write on your envelope
“Birthdays” so we can keep a record of the birthday money. Birthday
celebration will be after services on the fifth Sunday.

South Georgia Annual Conference 2001 will be held Sunday,
June 3rd through Wednesday, June 6th. M. L. Harris
has been asked to provide twelve (12) greeters and four (4) hosts. Any
member interested in volunteering please contact Minnie Carlisle.
The UMW is in preparation of
their Mother’s Day program for Sunday, May 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Our very
own Kaye Flonnory will be the speaker. Please see any UMW member to honor
or memorialize your mother, grandmother, aunt or any special lady. Each
patron entry is$2.00. As always we appreciate your support.
UMW Mission Study, Sunday, April 29th
Epworth UMC, 3-7 p.m. Rev. Marcia Cochran, leader.
Youth tutoring is every Wednesday from
6:00 – 7:00 p.m. followed by youth Bible study at 7:00 p.m.
Please remember to bring any of the following
items to place in the red food bank box located by the main entrance. This
is an ongoing weekly project for the Stewardship Committee. Macaroni,
pastas, rice, canned vegetables, canned meats, salt & pepper, flour,
canned mild, pampers, baking soda, toothpaste, paper products, canned
juices, dry cereals, canned fruit, sugar, kool-aid, and tea bags.

COMMUNITY CALENDAR
Vicki Yohe, Christian singer on TBN
will be performing at Solid Rock Assembly on Sunday, April 29, 2001 at 6:00
p.m. Solid Rock Assembly is located one mile from Flat Rock Park. The
concert is free.
2001 Greater Columbus Pig Jig Cookoff is hosting the Second Annual Gospel
Sing on Sunday, April 29th starting at 2:00 p.m.
in the Columbus Amphitheater. Church gospel groups, prase bands, vocalists,
and musicians are desired to participate in this great event.
Mother/Daughter Dinner-2001, Friday, May 11, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at Howard Johnson
Express Inn- Presidential Ballroom, 1101 Veterans Parkway. Tickets are
$10.00 each and can be purchased through the church secretary. Portraits
will be taken from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Speaker is Mrs. Gerry Sisk. This dinner
is not limited to mother and daughter only. You can bring grandmother,
aunt, sister, etc. It is for women only.
