Home – it’s a word that conjures up visions in all of us.  It doesn’t matter where we have lived or where we were born, we yearn for a place to be accepted, nurtured and challenged.  I had a good friend who told me that when he and his wife moved to a new location, they looked for a church that would meet their spiritual needs.  The church also provided a place to meet new folks and leave the community quickly, especially the good restaurants, etc.  The church provided a good way to meet the needs and provide a sense of home, safety, nurture and fellowship.
