Jane Sweet (Church Office Coordinator)
 Professional Information
Jane was adopted through the Methodist Children’s Home in Detroit.
She graduated from Brighton High School in 1970, studied Special Education
for two years and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree in 1977
with a major in Secretarial Education and certification to teach Grades 6-12.
Jane worked at Scranton Middle School in Brighton for 5 years before being
'pink slipped' in 1982. After working as a legal secretary and in a concrete
contractor’s office for many years, she began working here at MUMC in 1997.
Personal Information
She and her husband Russ have been married 26 years and have two fantastic
daughters - Gina attends Kettering University studying Electrical Engineering and
Beth attends Michigan State University studying Accounting and Spanish.
The Sweet family attends St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church.
Jane’s hobbies are cross-stitch, knitting, attending live theater shows and supporting
the HOT Robotics team.
