The Carefoots are packing their truck in the evening of the 15th.  If you can help, drop by the parsonage after 5pm.  We'll spend a couple of hours getting things loaded.
June 20, 1999
This is the first Sunday for our new pastor, Annette Jones.  Make a special effort to come out to the worship service to support her as she gets started.

Our Known Graduates

Bonnie Davidson, our choir director, graduated in May from the University of Miami.  Bonny will be visiting her oldest brother in Seattle throughout July.  Please pray that she'll return to Miami and continue working at St. John's!
Megan Carefoot graduates from Miami Beach High.  Megan plans to attend Bennington College in the fall.
Patrick Quinlan graduates from St. John's Day Care!  Patrick is the Quinlan's 3rd St. John's graduate.

Thank you to…

  • Fellowship hour hosts in May.
  • Laurie Davis, Staff-Parish Relations Committee Chair, who has been working hard to smooth the transition between ministers.  Laurie has been coordinating the work of the committee to arrange the Carefoots' send off party, to get the parsonage ready for Annette Jones, and to help the pastors in their respective leaving and arriving.
  • Those who dedicated altar flowers last month--Tom Derosa, the Carefeet.
  • Children's church teachers for May--Mary Carefoot, Mélida Downer,  Areanne Breedlove, and Bob Holcomb.
  • The District Youth Band!  They played for us on Pentecost.  It was great.  Thanks to Richard Aspinwall, the band director, and all the kids.
Announcements


  • The choir will not be performing during the month of July.  They are taking a summer break.
  • Geoff Anderson resigned as Administrative Council Chairperson recently.  Geoff has served the church faithfully in many offices over the years.  He needs some time to spend with his family.  Richard Nixon will be our new Administrative Council Chair.  He is not a crook!
