2008 Pennies for Potatoes Campaign set all-time high!

Thanks to everyone for the tremendous support of this project.  Final total for penny collection was $1354.63, which will be sent to the Conference special giving unit.

2008 Festival of Sharing News
As many of you know from reading some of our weekly and monthly articles, the Nurture & Outreach Committee chose to support this year’s Festival of Sharing by promoting and completing Family Food Packs,  Paper Product Kits, and contributing money to the HEIFER Project.  Other individuals and/or groups also participated by contributing other items to the FOS, including Personnel Hygiene Kits, Reading & Writing Kits and/or other kits or projects.  Here are some of the groups involved:
Wesley Circle - Back Packs
James Circle - money for Heifer Project
Bruce Circle - paper products
Mundy-Stallings - food box and other individual items
Discovery Group also donated a Family Food Box.
Nurture & Outreach Committee - Money for Heifer Project, various kits

The totals are as follows:
11 Reading and Writing Packs      14 Family Food Boxes
6 Back Packs               1 Flood Bucket
11 Paper Products Kits            1 Hygiene Kit

$80.00 to the Heifer Project was raised by the N&O Committee from the “Milk ‘n Cookies” fundraisers.
