INFORMATION:

Ten (10) churches (14%) have an average attendance of 200 or higher.

Twelve (12) churches (16%) have an average attendance between 100 and 199.

Thirty (30) churches (41%) have an average attendance between 50 and 99.

Twenty-one (21) churches (29%) have an average attendance of less than 50.

REFLECTION:

Is the average attendance in your church increasing, decreasing or remaining the same?

Would you describe your congregation as an open, friendly one that makes newcomers and visitors feel welcomed?

Does your congregation have a variety of spiritual and social activities that make it attractive to individuals who might be searching for a church home?

Do you think that your present worship is attractive to newcomers, and fulfilling to long time members?

ACTION:

Keep weekly statistics on attendance

Be aware of days when, traditionally, the attendance is higher or lower

Reach out to individuals who no longer attend worship regularly.  Find out why they have stopped attending regularly.

Be intentional about making your church a very hospitable community (Hebrews 13:2)
