"Happy Father's Day!
Today was a recreation day for us. We began with a visit to the Managua Craft Market. T-shirts, pottery, paintings,
jewelry, dresses, woodwork... you want it, they got it! We spent an hour (and a little more) getting all the things we needed to
remember our time in Nicaragua. The best thing is that Leigh now has hair! It is amazing what
Nicaraguan technology can accomplish!
After the market off to the beach. 14 of us were brave enough to eat the fish. Fresh caught and the whole fish served on the plate. Everyone agreed it was very good. After lunch, time in the water. The water was very warm and the waves were great to play in.
Intermittent thunderstorms kept us going into the water and then back to our
cabana... the rain was a cool relief to the warm ocean water.
Tomorrow it is back to the project to work work work our final full day in Nicaragua."
