Celebrating the Completed Renovation
After years of fund raising, planning and construction, The Middlesex United Methodist Church is now handicap accessible. The three level lift is functioning, a handicap accessible bathroom is available, and the church is warmed with a state of the art heating system, installed thanks to two grants from the Troy Conference.

April, 2007 Update
The work on the bell tower is nearly complete. The bell has been repaired and now rings every Sunday morning before worship. The rest of the tower was also fully restored. The only work left is to complete the staining.
Work has begun to restore all of the windows in the church. Here, the basement windows have been removed and will be restored in the contractor's shop. Work was delayed on this project until the snow melted down enough to reach the windows.
February, 2007 Update
Worked started just before winter on the bell tower and continues, despite the heavy snow.
August, 2006 Update
The lift has been installed and is operational!
March, 2006 Update

Our lift has arrived and was partially installed before Easter. Unfortunately, the wrong door was sent and the contractor was not able to complete the job. The door should be in soon.

With the generous support of a local contractor, the parking lot and driveway has new gravel and has been leveled.
As you know, we have now received the first AND THE SECOND of our three grants: $10,000 from the Board of Global Ministries towards the cost of our new lift PLUS $20,000 from the Freeman Foundation/Vermont Preservation Trust for repairs to our original building. We are still waiting to hear from the State of Vermont if we will receive one of the 2006 grants: keep on praying!
