Youth Ministry

The youth ministry at Mays Chapel is flourishing due to wide participation and excellent leadership.  We have an active Youth Group, a busy Sunday School program, and we send a group of youth to attend a regional LOGOS conference annually.

During our 10:45 AM Worship Service a professionally staffed nursery is available for the youngest of children.  Older children may pick up a Kids Activity Bulletin and select one or two items from our Kids Corner bookcase (Children's Bibles, books, paper, crayons, bears & Etch-a-Sketches) to calm the wiggles during the service.

Mays Chapel Youth Group

The Youth Group at Mays Chapel meets Sunday nights from 6:30 - 8 pm during the school year.  Youth Group is open to any and all youth in grades 6 - 12. Sunday sessions include times of fellowship, interactive games, brief discussions that help youth apply Biblical principles to their daily lives and times of worship. Special group activities throughout the year include bowling, mini golf, corn mazes, pool parties, retreats and lock-ins at the church.

Subs for tsunami relief

The youth are involved in several service projects each year that help those in the local and global community. In 2004 - 2005, the youth sang Christmas carols at a local retirement community, raised $625 for Heifer International and over $550 for Tsunami relief by making subs and selling them on Super Bowl Sunday.  In the 2005-2006 year, our youth raised over $1800 for hurricane Katrina relief.

Mays Chapel Youth Group is a dynamic way for youth to grow in their faith through Christian fellowship, study, outreach and FUN!

Mays Chapel Sunday School

Sunday school classes are taught during the school year for kids ages 2 through 12th grade, and meet from 9:45 - 10:30 am Sunday mornings in the Worship Center.  The Sunday School hour at Mays Chapel is a time for learning, for giving, and for enjoying the richness of life in a warm Christian community.   Children of all ages are welcome to come experience God in our midst.

Small Group for High School Girls

Barb Holland is now leading a new group for high school girls once a month after church. They meet at Noon in the Worship Center, study the Bible and eat lunch.  The group is always open to new friends. Call Barb or see the bulletin for exact dates and times.
