Sunday School

McRae United Methodist Church

You are invited to the McRae United Methodist Church Sunday School program. There are classes for everyone. For adults, there are many classes to choose from. These range from ladies' and men's classes to men's and women's mixed classes. There is also a nursery for the small frys and all in between. Sunday School begins at 10:00 each Sunday Morning.

Baby Nursery

The baby nursery is for infants from as early in the life of the infant as you wish to bring your baby. The baby nursery is located in the Sunday School building attached to the Sanctuary on the first floor. An experienced baby sitter is on hand to keep your child.

Nursery

This class is taught by Mrs. Allison Mizell and is located in the Bessie McRae Sunday School Building adjacent to the church. Children from about 2 years of age through three years of age are welcome here.

Kindergarten

For ages four and five, the Kindergarten class is taught by Mrs. Henrietta Cameron . This class is also located in the Bessie McRae Sunday School Building.

Elementary Grades One and Two

Mrs. Laura Knight is the teachers of children in class for students in grades three and four in the public schools. This class is located in the Bessie McRae Sunday School annex.

Elementary Grades Five and Six

Middle Grades

This class is for students in the middle grades in school. Taught by Mrs. Annis Dominey, the middle  grades class offers an exciting venture into the Bible by Mrs. Dominey. The Middle Grades class is located on the second floor of the Sunday School Building next to the sancuary.

SonSeekers

Billy McKinnon and Glenn Stewart teach the Trendsetters, a young adult class that is attended by young married couples as well as singles. Mr. McKinnon offers an insightful interpretation of the Adult Bible Series Sunday School lessons. This class is also located on the second floor of the Sunday School Building next to the sanctuary.

Claude Fullerton

Named after a former pastor of the McRae United Methodist Church, Rev. Claude Fullerton, this class is located on the first floor of the Sunday School Building next to the Sanctuary. Several different individuals teach this class. Because of this teaching arrangement,  a variety of views of the Adult Bible Series lessons are presented. This class is made up of marrieds and singles. Everyone is welcome.

ASJ McRae

A men's class of all ages, the ASJ McRae Bible Class , is named in memory and honor of a deceased member of the church. The ASJ McRae class extends an open and warm invitation to all men who desire to attend. They are located on the first floor of the Sunday School Building next to the Sancuary in what is known as the Men's Bible Class.

Mary Windsor

A mirror image of the ASJ McRae class, the Mary Windsor Bible class is for the women of the church who do not go to other classes. It is located on the first floor of the Sunday School Building next to the Sancuary next to the ASJ McRae class.  This class is also taught by several teachers, offering a variety of views on the Adult Bible Series.

Pacesetters

The Pacesetters is a couples class located in the conference room of the Fellowship Hall. It also uses the Adult Bible Series lessons. A variety of teachers provide outstanding lessons for those who attend.

Fellowship

This class is located in the main hall of the Fellowship Hall. It is taught by Stan Ballew and Stan Rutherford. This class is open to anyone who wants to attend, both couples and singles of all ages and genders. Stan and Stan provide inspirational and lively lessons based on the Adult Bible Series lessons.
