AS I WAS SAYING…

by Rev. Stephen C. Butler

I think you might be interested in hearing what our new members say about why they were attracted to our church. So, here’s a sampling of what they have to say.

“I originally came looking for a Methodist Church and found an extended family. After only a short time my family and I were welcomed with open hearts and open arms into a loving and caring community. We have found more than a place of worship. We found friends, support, and a sense of belonging.”

“This is a family church, active in many things. I like to participate in helping when asked and enjoy seeing youth participate. The sermons are not long and boring, and I like the fellowship time and the nursery care available.”

“We have come here after not going to church for 20 years. We were welcomed immediately. People were quick to offer help if the need ever arose. They were also not afraid to ask for our help. It is good to feel like we have support as well as feeling like we can help.”

“The friendly welcoming I received and the music during worship I find is relaxing and allows me to feel closer to the Lord.”

“After visiting churches for the past 10 years we found McKownville by accident. I knew I wanted to return because it felt good. It felt right. And I felt I should be here.”

“We reaffirmed our wedding vows here and have been coming here ever since. We enjoy the service each Sunday.”

“After searching for a Methodist Church in this area, I feel welcomed, comfortable and more spiritual coming to McKownville. The congregation is alive and friendly. Also, Steve is very friendly and overall I truly enjoy coming to this church.”

Enthusiasm is contagious, so let’s pass it on! See you in church! –Steve
