Exciting, fun-filled music opportunities for all ages and abilities.  Choose one or more or all of the appetizers, entrees, and desserts offered!  Everyone is welcome and all activities are absolutely free (except for the time and energy you contribute)!  And – if you skip the rehearsal snacks - all activities actually burn calories.

Appetizers...                 

Eat Dessert First - A vocal and instrumental group for all ages, rehearsing at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning to lead hymns every Sunday at the early worship service.

Time Cost:  30 minutes per week

SummerRing - An introduction to choirchimes for anyone age 9 through 109, SummerRing meets for one hour per week on Monday evenings in August. 

Time Cost: one hour per week

Ringer’s Retreat - A one-day retreat for handbell ringers in or joining Wesley Ringers and  introducing healthy ringing techniques and music for the ministry year.  Snacks and lunch are provided.

Time cost: seven hours

Entrees....

Chancel Choir - A vocal group for high school age and older, providing music at the 10:30 worship service September through June and rehearsing Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.*

Time cost: two hours per week

Cherub Choir - A vocal group for children preschool through first grade and rehearsing during Sunday School each week.  Cherub Choir sings at both worship services once a month.

Time cost: weekly rehearsal

Joyful Noises - An instrumental group for all ages rehearsing Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and playing at both worship services once a month.

Time cost: 30 minutes per week plus individual practice at home

Many Crowns - A vocal group for children in second through eighth grades, rehearsing Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and singing at both worship services once a month.*

Time cost:  45 minutes per week

Wesley Ringers - A handbell choir for high school age and older, rehearsing Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. and playing at both worship services once a month.*

Time cost: 1.5 hours per week

A New Song - An as yet unnamed chime choir for grades four and older, rehearsing weekly and playing at both worship services monthly.

Time cost: one hour per week

Solo/Duet/Trio Opportunities - If you would like to sing or provide instrumental music as a soloist or as part of a duet or trio, please contact Christy, Pat, or Nancy.  Singers who wish to be soloists are expected to participate in one of the vocal choirs also.

Time cost: rehearsal time as needed

*The groups marked with an asterisk also participate in the Guilderland Interfaith Council Advent Service on the first Sunday in December and provide music Christmas Eve at one or both services.
