Palliative CareServices | Palliative Care Palliative Care is offered to provide personal dignity and pain relief to individuals at a difficult time. Sometimes
Residents of the Home are faced with medical situations in which a cure
is not an option. In this case, the Residents may benefit from our
Palliative Care Program. While certain illness may warrant efforts to
"cure" the condition, the aim of the Palliative
Care Program is to provide "comfort and support"
when a cure is not a viable alternative. Our medical team
evaluates the Residents and his/her medical condition to determine
whether palliative care is an appropriate option. The team then meets
with the Resident to plan and appropriate steps to take. Together this
team creates a plan to provide the right kind of comfort that the
Resident will need on an on-going basis. The Palliative Care Program is part of our continuing effort to personalize the care that each Resident receives. | ||
