9:15 am every Sunday morning

McConnell United Methodist Church Sunday School meets every Sunday from September through May from 9:15 am to 10:15 am.  We have 5 classes for ages 3 through senior adult. 

In Fall of 2006 we are introducing a new Media based Sunday School called Live BIG!  This program is completely new and fresh.  Contemporary songs, skits and virtual trips to churches around the world are only portions of what children will experience each week in Sunday School!  Currently, our teachers are Cathy Stabenow with Nursery class, Sandra Klontz with elementary level and Susan Coomber with the Jr./Sr. High children.  Ernie Stabenow teaches our new class for younger adults, and Clarence Barker leads the senior adult class.  Judy Rampenthal holds title of Education chairperson.

    We have a Halloween Party/Hayride each October.  Our Christmas Program is held during our morning church service the second Sunday in December.  We usually sing and wave palm branches on Palm Sunday and the older classes help with Easter Sunrise Service.

    The first Sunday of each month the Sunday School offering goes to a mission project, such as the Red Cross, Sleezer Home, Rockford Rescue Mission, Humane Society, Tyler's Justice Center, etc.
