Lay Speaker Certification Report McAlester District To maintain the status of a Lay Speaker, a report and reapplication with recommendations must be submitted annually and a refresher course approved by the Conference Committee on Lay Speaking Ministiries must be completed once in every three years. Basic Class is for Local Lay Speaker status, authorized to serve in the Lay Speaker's local church. Advanced Class is for Certified Lay Speaker status, authorized to serve in other churches as well as the Lay Speaker's local church. Complet
