9:00 AM ~ Contemporary Praise Celebration: This service brings a thought-provoking and inspirational message each Sunday. During the first part of the service, the children are present for a mini-worship experience with the pastor. Children and youth are excused after the children's moment to attend their Sunday School classes. Music led by the Worship Team, with keyboard and drums, lifts up our prayers & praise to God. Most of the music is not found in the hymnal. The words are projected for the congregation to join the singing. A time of fellowship with tasty food and beverage follows the service in the social hall.
11:00 AM ~ Traditional Worship Service: This service highlights the rich traditions of our United Methodist heritage through word and music. This service has the same inspirational sermon and children's moment as the 9:30 service. Songs are led by the Chancel Choir with organ and piano accompaniment. Music is generally from the United Methodist Hymnal and the new supplement The Faith We Sing. A time of fellowship with tasty food and beverage follows the service in the social hall.
2:00 PM ~ Hmong Worship: Inspiring worship for new Christians in the Hmong language.
5:00 PM (1st Sunday each month) ~ Taizé Service: The first Sunday of each month at 5:00 P.M. a service of prayer, music and scripture is presented in the sanctuary .This service is patterned after similar services held all over the world, but originating in Taizé, France. The establishment of the community of Taizé was an outgrowth of the process of peace and reconciliation experienced by the countries in Europe after World War II. Taizé has something for each person: a quiet, beautiful candlelit environment, time for silence and meditation, soothing music, the word of God spoken through the scriptures and the fellowship of being together with others. Taizé has to be experienced to be loved. Come join us this next month!
Additional special services appropriate to the liturgical seasons of the year are held during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. Also, throughout the year combined services are scheduled. Please check the Calendar for specific dates.
