This Summer – United Methodist Camps
Shasta Family Camp will be July 26 - August 1.  Registration forms are on the table by the library.  See our church website for more information on other church summer camps.

Beginning Today - 4-Week Summer Class Through Aug. 10
The class, "Personalities of the Bible," will be led by Lane Noyes and held in the Youth Room between worship services at 10:15 a.m.  Last summer Lane taught a very interesting class on the Wesley’s that was well attended.  This class will include some DVD presentations, so grab a cup of coffee and stay after the 9 AM service or come early before the11 AM service and join us for a very interesting fellowship.

Sunday, August 10 – Celebration of New Members
We will welcome those who have completed the Membership Class, and also anyone transferring their membership.  If you wish to transfer, please let us know, by August 3, the name and addresses of the UM church you are transferring from.

Fall Class Beginning Tuesday, September 16 (11 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
On Tuesdays beginning Sept. 16 there will be a 6-week study on another book written by Gary Chapman (the best selling author of The Five Love Languages).  The title of this one is "Anger," handling a powerful emotion in a healthy way.  Aristotle said "Anyone can become angry, it is easy; but to be angry with the right person at the right time, and for the right purpose and in the right way-that is not within everyone's power, and that is not easy."  And in Proverbs 29:11, A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.  Led by Pastor Carolee.       Books ($11) are available in the church office.

10-Week Bible Study Class (Parlor)
Beginning Wed., Sept. 17 (6:30 p.m.) and Thurs., Sept. 18 (2 p.m.)  Pastor Art will be leading an in-depth Bible study on the “Wisdom Literature,” of the Old Testament - Psalms through Ecclesiastes.

6:30 PM -- Attention Adult Christian Singles!
An Adult Christian Singles Fellowship began here at the Marysville United Methodist Church on June 1, 2008.  The meeting time will be 6:30 pm or posted if different.  We are meeting for fellowship, fun, food, and hopefully some Christian growth experiences.  If you are interested, please call the church office, the Pastors, or Donna Beszhak for information.

Mondays, 6:00 PM -- Bible Study, Revelations (Pioneer Hall)
This 8-week class continues July 21 and August 4 (no class on July 28). 

Fellowship Gatherings
A fellowship gathering will be held at the home of Loretta Johnson on Saturday, June 7 at 11 a.m.  Please sign up on the sheet posted in Pioneer Hall.  Everyone is welcome!  If you are interested in hosting a fellowship gathering in your home, please contact the pastors, Shirley Anderson, or the church office.

There has been an interest expressed in forming a committee to invite and schedule selected speakers for programs on helpful and informative topics.  If you would like to join or give input to this committee, please contact Pastor Carolee.
