Welcome to the First United Methodist Church of Marysville and its web site! With over 159 years of faithful ministry in the Methodist tradition, the church today reaches out to the community, embracing our rich cultural diversity and serving in new, life-affirming ministries. Our mission is "to be an inclusive community of faith that invites, nurtures and creates faithful disciples of Jesus Christ to send into the world to make it more loving and just".
Three Sunday worship services, in a beautiful, traditional sanctuary, reflect our commitment to enable people to know God's loving presence and experience being welcomed into the family of Christ.
We’re looking for volunteers! The 9 a.m. Praise Team and 11 a.m. Chancel Choir are in need of singers. This is your opportunity to use your time and talent to Praise the Lord through song! Contact Pastors Art or Carolee or the church office to sign up.
Earthquake in Haiti: The Church Responds
Volunteers and Health Kits
According to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), there will be a great need for volunteers to help rebuild once the initial crisis is past, but it is not safe or possible for volunteers to go to Haiti at the present. However, UMCOR’s two relief supply warehouses are asking United Methodists to provide health kits that will be sent to Haiti. Instructions for assembling and shipping health kits are available here.
Donations
We are grateful that donations continue to come in online. Donors may also contribute by placing a check in the offering plate at a local church or by mailing it to UMCOR, P.O. Box 9068, New York, NY 10087. Checks should indicate “Advance #418325” in the memo line. United Methodist Communications is creating a special bulletin insert for churches’ use, which will be available Friday at www.umc.org/haiti.

Find a church. How many of you have been travelling and wanted to visit a Methodist Church during those travels, but were unsure if your destination had a Methodist Church? Well, visit this handy site, Find A Church, before travelling. Also extremely useful if you need more information on any Methodist Church.
If anyone has digital pictures of recent church activities and would like to see them posted to the Photo Album, please send the Webmaster an e-mail and we'll make arrangements to get the data. Would like to have the photos in jpeg format, on CD, and in the highest possible resolution your camera can handle as this makes the pictures easier to view when compressed and posted to the web page.
