Welcome to the First United Methodist Church of Marysville and its web site! With over 154 years of faithful ministry in the Methodist tradition, the church today reaches out to the community, embracing our rich cultural diversity and serving in new, life-affirming ministries. Our mission is "to be an inclusive community of faith that invites, nurtures and creates faithful disciples of Jesus Christ to send into the world to make it more loving and just".
Three Sunday worship services, in a beautiful, traditional sanctuary, reflect our commitment to enable people to know God's loving presence and experience being welcomed into the family of Christ.
In order to help serve the needs for worship of those who cannot attend Sunday morning worship because of work schedules and other issues, it has been decided to offer a midweek worship service at 5:30 PM. This will be a casual service based, at least at the beginning, upon the 9 a.m. Sunday worship service of the previous Sunday. Please feel free to share this information with anyone, including those in the community; you feel might benefit from a midweek worship.
Pictures of Vacation Bible School 2008 are now up on the Photo Album page, enjoy.
There have been requests for a link to the Cal-Nevada camps offered in 2008. Please follow this link to view the 2008 camps.
We’re looking for volunteers! The 9 a.m. Praise Team and 11 a.m. Chancel Choir are in need of singers. This is your opportunity to use your time and talent to Praise the Lord through song! Contact Pastors Art or Carolee or the church office to sign up.
Find a church. How many of you have been travelling and wanted to visit a Methodist Church during those travels, but were unsure if your destination had a Methodist Church? Well, visit this handy site, Find A Church, before travelling. Also extremely useful if you need more information on any Methodist Church.
If anyone has digital pictures of recent church activities and would like to see them posted to the Photo Album, please send the Webmaster an e-mail and we'll make arrangements to get the data. Would like to have the photos in jpeg format, on CD, and in the highest possible resolution your camera can handle as this makes the pictures easier to view when compressed and posted to the web page.
