Other Ministries

        The Martinsville United Methodist Church also offers a variety of other ministries to help meet the needs of our members and those in our community.
        The United Methodist Women meet on a monthly basis. Their focus is based on doing missional projects both locally and worldwide. Our UMW also sposors our fall bazaar.
        At Christmastime, our United Methodist Men collect food and distribute food baskets for needy families in our community.
        Low-income families in the community may also qualify to receive food assistance from our Food Pantry. In addition to emergency food assitance, we also have been approved to distribute Govenment commodities. For more information contact the Church Office at (217) 382-4094.
        Throughout the Christian year, the Martinsville United Methodist Church is host to many special services inclucing: Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday Sonrise, Christmas Eve, Vacation Bible School and Confirmation Classes.
        On months that have a fifth Sunday between Morning Worship and Sunday School, we enjoy a time of fellowship with a coffee hour and seasonal refreshments
