MISSIONOur mission at MUM's Christian Preschool is to provide a Christian service to the local community. Our preschool will encourage social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development in your children, using age-appropriate curriculum in a Christian environment. We are dedicated to the task of helping your children learn through play. Basics such as the alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers will be introduced. Children will experience the essentials of learning, including observing, remembering, completing a task, sharing and self-expressing. Enrollment is open to all, without regard to race or religion. ![]() CURRICULUMOur curriculum will include -
ADMISSIONSWe encourage you to come and see our facility. Make an appointment by calling the Marshallton United Methodist Church at 610-696-5247. Classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be kept after enrollment is full. Priority will be given to children who turn three or four years old by your school district of residence's Kindergarten cut-off date (Downingtown = September 30, West Chester = September 1). Children who miss the cut-off dates, will be considered for admissions based on availability. Enroll by completing the registration form and returning it with a $50.00 non-refund-able registration fee. Checks should be made payable to MUM's Christian Preschool. A 10% discount will be granted to children of active participants in the Marshallton United Methodist Church. Active participation is defined as attending worship and/or Sunday School on a regular basis, and involvement in other church activities. Questions regarding active participation should be directed to the church's pastor.
A 10% discount will be granted to families with more than one child enrolled in the Preschool.
Tuition scholarships will be available. Requests should be made in writing to the Preschool Board of Directors.
The first tuition payment is due August 1. The remaining payments are due on the first of each month, September through April.
Any child withdrawn from the preschool after January 1st, will not be refunded the one month advance tuition payment. Special circumstances will be considered if presented in writing to the Preschool Board of Directors.
Please dress your child appropriately for the weather, for circle activities on the floor and play activities. Sneakers are recommended. Uncomplicated and comfortable clothing encourages independence and safety. Remember to label all garments and backpacks with your child's name.
Our modern Christian Education building and spacious Fellowship Hall provide an attractive setting for learning and play. Outdoor space will be utilized for nature walks and outdoor games.
