What's Happening

The theme for the year 2009 for United Methodist Women is "Stewards of Earth."

The Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky is an ongoing project and they appreciate the number of Campbell Food labels, General Mills box tops and A+ Tyson product symbols we collect and mail to the Mission. We anticipate your continued support. Please, please - when taking the soup labels off the Campbell can and containers of their other products, only the UPC and Education symbol are required. On the soup can, cut the front of the label so that the UPC code is not destroyed on the back. The collection box is on the table in the Narthex. Thank you again!

The Marshallton United Methodist Women have a Reading Program and generally purchase five (5) books each year. After four (4) years, these books are housed in the church library for all to read. We have on hand, not in the library yet, thirteen (13) books on different topics soon to be cataloged for your enjoyment and interest. Our members are encouraged to read the categories selected. A list of titles, authors and subjects will be available between April 14th and June 1st.

RESPONSE magazine will also be in the library soon. Each issue features a topic of an up to date issue; the featured topic will be listed and in the month that it appears. There are ideas and articles on mission projects with UMCOR and individual church mission projects that have been done locally and around the world.
