VBS web site -- author background
Hi ! Since 1989 I have had the joy of coordinating the summer Vacation Bible School program for my church. Marshallton United Methodist is a small church (membership less than 150) in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.
Each year has brought growth and change as we reach out to our community. In 1989 we shared with 40 children; in the summer of 1996 our attendance reached 98 different children participating during the week. Since 1999 we celebrated sharing with more than 120 children each year.
VBS in our church is one of the most exciting times of the year as we encourage neighborhood children who are not part of our congregation to join us.
For several years in the past I, along with some of the other volunteers at Marshallton, have participated in a VBS workshop sponsored by one of our local Christian bookstores. Since this opportunity for sharing is no longer available, my hope is that this page might be a means of bringing together those who work to share the Good News with our children.
When I'm not planning for Vacation Bible School, I provide for my family by creating Web sites and providing indexes to publications for authors and publishers. For additional information check my business Web site.
