 | Mackey Youth met for a FABULOUS FRIDAY evening of Christian Instruction, Fun, Food,
and Fellowship every second Friday from 7pm to 8.30pm. The youth received some intensive Biblical teaching from Ms. Frizella Whitiker for
approximately 30 minutes. This time was followed by the enjoyment of a snack or some
refreshments and then some fun and games that usually had some lesson or principle for us
to learn and apply in our lives. |
| The Youth Choir is led by Mrs. Marilyn Smith. They assist in the leading of worship
every third Sunday. |
| In the early hours of Thursday, July 16th, 1998 our youth traveled to Six Flags over
Texas amusement park in Dallas/Ft. Worth. After a day of fun, we spent the night at the
Arlington Heights UMC Church. Their church Youth Group served us breakfast early the next
morning before we headed back to Odessa. |
| June 14-18, 1999 was been a historic time for Mackey Chapel and for the Odessa
District. This was the very first time that any youth from Mackey Chapel
had visited
or attended a camp at Sacramento Methodist Assembly. Rose Willis and Janet George
attended the Odessa District Camp and helped open a door for others to follow. We
thank God for His goodness! |
