Mackey Chapel meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 9am till approximately 10.30am and is immediately followed by Sunday School classes for the various age level groups. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month. In the afternoon the pastor, the Communion Stewards, and some members of the congregation take Communion to the elderly and home-bound members. On Wednesday evenings at 7pm members gather for a time of intercessory prayer where we give thanks for the Lord's many blessings to us and lift up the various needs of our people, the church, our community and the world at large. For the past 11 weeks some of the members of Mackey have shared in the Alpha Course run at Highland UMC. We are now eager to commence the course at Mackey. On the third Sunday evening of every month, at 8pm, Mackey Chapel joins with believers from other churches belonging to the Southside Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance for a Fellowship Service held on a rotating schedule at the one of the member churches. If you attend a service at Mackey Chapel - be prepared to be hugged. Here is proof (if you need it) of the value of a hug:
