Mackey Chapel dedicated its Family Life Center on Thursday, May 6 1999 with the opening of our Computer Education and Training Center.  We now have 15 donated computers, three with Windows 98 and three with Windows 95. The rest have   Windows 3.1. We have two computers that are linked to the Internet.

Since the opening of our Computer Center we have had close to 75 people from the area attend classes covering everything from Introduction to Computers, Introduction to Keyboarding, Introduction to Windows 95/98, Microsoft Office (word processing, database, and spreadsheet), Email, and Introduction to the Internet.

Sr. Jean Hamilton and her class of CyberKids Sr. Daisy Fillmore masters a new program
Jack Lambert and local Boy Scouts work on Computer Badge requirements
Students from Odessa College ESL classes receive instruction on our computers

Our classes are all offered on a donation basis. People may contribute whatever they are able to give  to keep the center operational and able to offer the very best to our community. We are grateful for a few very competent volunteers who assist with the instruction. Any educational software (for children and adults) that people may wish to donate to the church should be sent to our mailing address.

We are also offering over 400 Microsoft Approved Computer courses online (everything from computer basics to training for MCSE and A+ certification) through the Learn@Hand connection with Hand Technologies.
