Henderson UMW

We did not have a UMW meeting in March. However, we will meet on Wednesday, April 2, at the home of Bette Byers. Deb Williams will have the program for us.

Women's Fellowship, Wheeler Grove

Women's Fellowship will meet on Thursday, April 17, with Barbara Lembke as hostess and Pastor Brown with the program.

Macedonia UMW

On March 12 we met in the evening so that some of our working women might join us. We enjoyed having extras. President Marilynn welcomed our guests. Bonnie gave devotions on talents from the book "Coffee Break with God." We enjoyed our special guest, Susan B. Anthony, who was dressed in costume and told us the story of her life in the 1800's. How she went against many beliefs to fight for Women's Rights and Women's Suffrage. March just happens to be "National Women's History" month. Susan was portrayed by Rebecca Marlowe, and we surely enjoyed her story.

Five members attended World Day of Prayer on March 7 at Carson UMC. July 19 will be the date of our "Christmas In July" fund raiser. April 24 is Day Apart at Camp Aldersgate. Our meeting on April 9 will be at 9:30 am with Margaret Noel with devotions, Darlyne Hobson with the program and Margaret and Donna Cole as hostesses. Marilynn closed with the Irish Blessing. Hostesses, Bonnie and Marjorie Stille carried out the St. Patrick colors of green and served a delicious chicken salad, crackers and drink.
