THE "I CAN" CLUB

Mission Statement: The purpose of the "I CAN" Club is to help children reach their potential spiritually, educationally, emotionally and socially.

What is it?:  An after school tutoring program for children who are in need of extra help as they learn.  Each session the children will have the opportunity to engage in constructive play, have a snack, listen to a Bible story, create craft projects and participate in tutoring of reading skills.

Who is it for?:  Children in kindergarten and first grade who are nominated for the program by their teachers and with the approval of their parents are accepted into the program.  The number of children accepted is small so they may get the attention they need.

When is it?:  The club meets on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:25 until 5:00 pm on days that Page County Schools are in session.  We do not meet on early release days, snow days or school holidays.  A school bus will bring the children to the church and parents will need to arrange pick up of their child at 5:00 pm.

Staffing?:  We are staffed by volunteers who have undergone training to work with children and have had a criminal background checks.  We also have prayer partners who are in prayer for the children and staff on the days the "I CAN" Club is in session.
