A lady from my church called me last year asking about Kairos Torch Prison Ministry. She said she tried to fulfill the Scripture "The King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Matthew 25:34-36

She said she wanted to do something with Kairos Torch to fulfill the last sentence in the above Scripture. Thus helping her fulfill the whole Scripture.

She was not called to serve on the team and physically go into the facility, she was not called to sponsor a student, or to pray for the ministry, she was called to share her talents in the kitchen by baking cookies.

I admire my friend for modeling her life after the life of Jesus and in so doing making our world a better place to live. Here are ways you may want to serve and fulfill this Scripture in Matthew.

Serve on a team - Requirements - having participated in a 3 day weekend (Emmaus, Trea Dias, etc.), 40 hours of Kairos Torch training, the actual weekend and a commitment to revisit once a month for 6 months.

Pray for the Ministry - prayer chain, fill out a prayer strip and give to Agape Coordinator.

Sponsorship - Green Agape - $30 per student per weekend.

Cookies - share your baking talents, baking cookies (please follow Kairos Torch recipes). Each student in facility is given one dozen cookies per Kairos Torch Weekend.
