Lake Oswego United Methodist Church

We are a diverse faith community striving to follow Jesus. We celebrate our connection to the United Methodist Church, its purpose, its mission and its Social Principles. We seek to build a strong witness to the extended community and a solid legacy for our future.

Connecting to God

We are spiritually centered in our personal connection to the mystery of God and to the life-giving power of Christ’s love and grace. We find strength and inspiration in God and in the diverse Body of Christ, as we grow in our relationship with the Divine Presence in our lives.

Connecting to Each Other

We value the diversity which enriches our community of faith. We strive to be an effective invitational Christian family, gathered for worship, education, service and support for individuals and families, as we build each other up in love.

Connecting to the World

We commit to be a responsive faith presence through service and mission and justice in the extended community and the world. We want to be known in our community and world as a church that actively cares about social justice concerns and challenges societal assumptions in light of the Gospel message.

We commit ourselves to strengthening Lake Oswego United Methodist Church as a dynamic spiritual center, connecting to God, to each other, and to the world.
