Flipside, our praise band, is selling a CD of songs from LOUMC's 8:30 AM contemporary worship service "Sunday Morning Alive!". As in a baker's dozen of 13 items, "Our Maker's Dozen" contains 13 favorites: I Will Celebrate; Water Me; Lord, I Lift Your Name on High; Morning Star; This is What I Believe; Come on and Celebrate; Make Me a Servant; My Life is in You, Lord; Fear Not, We Remember You; The Battle Belongs to the Lord; Open the Eyes of My Heart; and Shine all Your Light.

Flipside has been together since the mid-1990's. Over that time the band has created its own unique blend of music and message that is experienced each week at Lake Oswego United Methodist Church's `Sunday Morning Alive' informal worship service. The band is a nine-member collective consisting of dedicated folks who balance their day jobs and family commitments with weekly rehearsals and performances. The bountiful musical gifts brought by the band's members are complemented by their humor, patience and kindness, contributing to positive group dynamics.

Flipside also takes its show on the road from time to time, including an annual outdoor festival, which raises funds for youth mission trips. We have had numerous requests to produce a Flipside CD, and we finally found the time to gather and record some of the band's favorite arrangements. These songs are a sample of the material we feel best represents the Flipside sound – thirteen songs in all – dedicated to the One who makes it all possible. We hope you enjoy `Our Maker's Dozen.' And the people of the Lord said, `Amen!'

You can get Flipside CDs at the church for 1/$15, 2/$25 or 3/$30. The proceeds from the CD will help fund the music program of Lake Oswego United Methodist Church.
